I think my issue usually getting into K-Pop is it can often sound like its boiled down into this distilled, fine gloss that makes listening to the music itself feel kind of sterile. I don't get into all the fandom surrounding k-pop bands, so I don't really get into the standom that arises from individual members doing x or y, or the choreography of the music videos.
Odd Eye Circle managed to buck that for me though with production that feels the very opposite of sterile. It feels way more creative than what I expect from most K-Pop and it made this entire EP an extremely enjoyable experience. I dont know whether that's come as a result of more creative freedom awarded to the former members of k-pop juggernaut LOONA leaving their former contracts I don't know enough about the industry to say, but yeah. Might come back to it at some point.
