I genuinely don't know quite how to describe the production on this thing, it's varied and unique and never stays in one place for too long. The best way I can describe it is like, it feels like what I imagine the inside of a robot's mind to sound like? This really sleek, shiny and not fully human kind of sci-fi vibe. It's just bizzare and amazing.
There are some moments lyrically that are weird but for the most part they feel like they fall into the background. Maybe I'll grasp more in the lyrics on another listen but the more lyrically dense tracks like OVERTAKE ) never really felt like it was the focus compared to sparser lyrical tracks like the huge track FINAL BOSS. Also there is a lyric on here that says I need the horses from Sydney Zoo and I don't know what to make of that. Also the closer ESC goes so hard it's amazing I've genuinely never heard anything like it.
Compared to the Brakence record from last year though, the lyrics aren't actually a turnoff from the bonkers good production though and that's why they aren't comparatively knocking much off my score in comparison.
