After seeing the interview with Doug Helvering, you can see the amount of thought behind each chord and each concept... he truly is a master of the craft. Nothing new. In-side mix is on another level of production... the exact same feeling as seeing IMAX or VR for the first time... but for music. I loved how true to the Gabriel aesthetic this is from the start, while still seeming fresh and interesting, although maybe not quite as energetic and exciting as earlier projects, but now I understand why: PG is a MASTER of sound design, intertwining all these sound effects, reaching a level of quality and complexity unmatched.
