This album was inspired by a lot of different musicians, but primarily Aphex Twin, The Black Dog, Boards Of Canada, Sophie, and probably quite a few others I'm forgetting. It's a concept album (kinda) about ai and a lot of its negative impacts. My favourite scene is the one where pirate Clark picks up Clark for a hug, it’s so wholesome :)
This sounds like bleeding out in the snow. A very ahead of its time album for sure, and a rare instance of one of the first records in a genre being extremely good. Unfortunately a little too repetitive at times, though.
Big improvement over the original, it takes a slightly more melodic approach which works well with the distortion.
I think the 2slimey hate is really forced, the whole situation reminds me of how people reacted when Skrillex blew up. People literally HATED him but after about a decade they started to come around on him since a lot of the social pressure to hate on him dissipated.
The main issue I have with this album is that it’s a little boring and one-note but people calling it noise pollution are kinda weird, distortion doesn’t make something bad automatically. He definitely has room to ... read more
