as one of my favourite YouTubers put it; a greatest hits album masquerading as a debut for The Strokes.
what a fucking album.. winner of the 2013 grammys, this album didn't sample in a conventional way, instead sampling people and using them to create new music (like with Giorgio by Moroder). and boy, was it fucking revolutionary for it's time. this album is timeless, forever young, and will never age. a remarkable album sitting in daft punk's discography
this album sounds like the strokes' signature sound even though its blended with new wave and other elements that make it sound fresh. its hooks are catchy and its lyrics hit hard. this is one of the best albums I have ever heard
