garbage album full of faux-sincerity, forgettable songs, melodyne out the ass and most of all terrible production value for an artist of camila's status. as someone who was looking forward to her debut as a solo act i'm thoroughly disappointed.

the best and maybe the only good song on here is the hit that this entire album is based around of course, havana.

ugh so bad. just because charli XCX released it and not any other popstar doesn't mean it's good.

a giant, achingly mediocre, agonizingly uncreative rehash of the same hollywood taylor swift psychomelodrama we've all been hearing for years but, unlike swift, we stopped caring about all of it years ago. to make things worse, the music doesn't have the strength to justify her anger or tell a single compelling story worth listening to. unfortunately for taylor swift and fans of her music or just for fans of music in general, reputation already sounds dated, stale and unlistenable not even a ... read more

a surprisingly ambitious and likable album with some hidden gems. selena packs a punch on her most engaged and sophisticated pop effort yet. however, although this is a good album, there's definite room for improvement in selena's sound (some songs like "sober" and "camouflage", while ok on their own, feel sudden and out of place within the context of the album and take away from the album's overall atmosphere). that said, this album has sparked my interest - i'm looking ... read more

i'm from tennessee- where she claims to be drawing from sonically and compositionally with her music- but this is not good. i'll put money on the notion that she just didn't know what to do for her next record cycle and realized it's coming up 4 years since bangerz came out and just needed a quick excuse to shit out the most boring and uninteresting music possible under the guise of "authenticity."

best: inspired

a terrible & corny attempt at a "gotcha" moment towards whoever "you" could be. cringy in its attempt to be cutting-edge, just like anyone who's ever listened to taylor swift could have predicted.

this is actually so fucking interesting. it might be his strongest mixtape since god's father. apparently he produced it, and the production is honestly amazing and crazy. golden lyrics as always. even inside the most confusing songs are truly forward-thinking melodies & beats. it also sounds like he's trying to actually flow on this album, on almost every single track, even though his lyrics are still familiarly silly. also, interestingly, it feels more like a complete cohesive story than ... read more

overrated as FUCK. half the songs on here are boring as hell and a lot of the lyrics are just meaningless and only exist for him to showcase his vocals. he does have a great voice though, and when he pairs that with great songwriting, he truly shines.

best: adorn, use me, where's the fun in forever

worst: i couldn't tell you a certain track because pretty much almost every song sounds the same except the ones aforementioned

one of the best pop albums of the 2000s. it's definitely underrated by critics. although it's a scattered and schizophrenic collection of songs (it's a shame because almost every song on stripped is an incredible listen on its own), stripped is an essential record for not only pop fans but music fans as a whole. it's truly a worthy spectacle.

she has an incredible voice, and it's showcased the best on her debut album, where ballads allow her voice to soar and unassuming pop songs fit her playful style perfectly.

there are glimmers of greatness in this album, but so many songs don't reach their potential. it's the kind of album you want to love, but the album doesn't give you the time to. also, a lot of the lyrics are... not the best.

infectious, heartbreakingly earnest and unapologetically dark, blackout is a curious and epic experience, as well as a self-evaluating character study by one of the most simultaneously polarizing and important figures in pop culture ever. one could make an argument for this being her magnum opus.

On noonoo97's review of Lorde - Melodrama
"I don't agree or disagree, but one thing I do agree on is that "pop elitism" among critics is definitely a thing, pretending that 2 things by 2 different artists that sound very similar are somehow either better or worse than each other based on literally anything other than the music they're making. It's kind of hilarious, but also annoying as fuck."
On noonoo97's review of Lorde - Melodrama
"I don't think that's what they were trying to say. I think they were saying that Lorde's songs sound a lot like pop songs on the current trend for pop, aka slow/ballad/country because pure pop isn't in trend, and therefore that this album is not as innovative as critics and fans say. "

"uh, the fuck...? i rated this a 10. you rated it a 6. that's a 4 POINT difference. regardless, what is the point in getting so angry & being rude over an album? calling me and other reviewers "disposable reviewers" because our way of rating differs from yours proves the exact opposite to be true. you are bitching about a point scale, re-evaluate your life."
On can i say fuck on here's review of Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.
"Sometime as an artist art comes at u fast, and i believe he made this album like a mixtape n the process hearing the random shoutouts the album display by the dj. Thats what i think he was going for. Its supposed to b straight n your face. He made it commercial like a typical mainstream album while keeping the weirdness in ratchet in the music. He also dumb down the lyrics to put his message straight forward with the listener we he goes into his religious beliefs, and frustrations, and questions"
