"Cheat Codes" is an incredible album and easily one of the best hip-hop releases in recent years. This album stands out as a near-perfect blend of sharp lyrics and top-tier production.
Black Thought delivers some of the best rapping of his career here. His flow is effortless and his lyrics are packed with meaning, and precision.
Danger Mouse’s production is just as impressive. The beats are smooth, and full of character. He mixes a lot of different sounds in here without it ever feeling outdated. Everything feels carefully crafted, and the instrumentals give Black Thought the perfect space to shine while still being interesting on their own.
There isn't a singular wea track on "Cheat Codes" making it one of the many incredible things about this album. Another thing I really like is how consistent it was from start to finish - definitely also a replayable album.
