As someone that follows v since the beginning, it's really really what i hoped he would do: a jazz/blues focused album. It's everything that man is out of the idol super crazy dances thing. He's the chill guy who listen to jazz. So cool to see he doing what he wanted to do. Something actually he would not be able to do if he wasn't a bts member, and no other than v. Like, if he wasn't so big already, they would not have let him do what he wants. So this is actually a milestone on his career. Here's the review of each song:
1 Rainy Days (8/10)
Taehyung's voice sounds super good in this one. The song it's awesome and a great start to what the album is.
2 Blue (10/10)
So this for me it's a masterpiece. The beat, the voice, the production. And gets even better live so yeah, thats so good.
3 Love Me Again (10/10)
All ideas on this one worked. Everything here works. The song's also a masterpiece.
4 Slow Dancing (9/10)
This talks to my soul. Idk, taehyung chose really well all the instrumentals for his album. This SCREAMS taehyung. It's his soul put into a album format. Crazy. Loved it.
5 For Us (10/10)
That album came out when i just finished my relationship with my fiance. So the lyrics got me good. Taehyung has great lyrics throughout the whole album, and this song it's a masterpiece as well. The highpitch bits it's also super great.
6 Slow Dancing (Piano Ver.) (10/10)
Thats a soul hug. It feels like a know this man deeply without even talking to the guy. He really made it his own thing. And i loved it. Cool vibe. Also, the tracklist lenght it's also something he got right. It was good enough to capture this especifc side of taehyung and develope it. In a future album we gonna see a different side of taehyung we didn't on this one. But this is here, saved and preserved for eternity as the " blues man taehyung ".
