I really looked forward to this. Some songs hit hard, some are very catchy but a lot also feel very repetitive and I don't think there's anything I haven't heard yet. It's good, but unfortunately it's not different from what she already released. Do love the mention of Shout Out To My Ex in Where You Are not gonna lie
The best Mega has ever put out. Musically as well as the storytelling. It feels like a true experience and I love every second of it. I loooved all of the promotion for this EP (Watch the My Bones music video!) It is just an amazing next step for her. Will be streaming a lot!!
This is good. I'd say it's less of a coherent journey as Invasion of Privacy was, but she still proves herself again. And this album rollout and promotion is one of the best ever.
This is insanely good. Being a long time mixer doesn't even play a part in my opinion. I just feels like every part of my ear is decorated. There are so many interesting little production things, melodies & background vocals panned extremely well. Almost every single one of the songs feels so full and so interesting. This is absolutely as good as everyone tells you.
Not my thing. I can hear that it's a good album, but everything sounds the same to me and nothing touches me, shocks me or inspires me.
I really really enjoy STFU & SLOW DOWN. IDGAS made me feel uncomfortable and I dislike the production on INTERNET. I'm a big fan of Lizzo, but I can't seem to understand why you would listen to this deluxe over the original mixtape. STFU & Slow Down will definitely be added to my playlist though. Love them.
Might be biased so I won't be giving my rating (it would be 100), but I am so so so proud of this song. It's about my high school experience and I've had so many special moments sharing this with the people I've written this about. It might not be perfect, but for my first single, at 17 years old, which I fully produced, wrote, performed and recorded myself I am so damn proud. And this cover I've put so much love and effort in and in the promotion as well. This is truly ... read more
Janelle Monáe is such an amazing artist. This is insanely good. She keeps inspiring me.
My french is not that good so maybe the lyrics are horrible and that's why everyone rated this so low, but I think this is actually pretty good!
I loved her with the Menahan Street Band on There's A New Day Coming. This album is not really my thing though. It reminds me of pitch perfect almost which is a great movie yeah but I don't want to be reminded of a comedy movie while listening to an album.
One of the best covers I've ever seen and it truly suits the music. Great album!
This album is so honest and so pure, but I just don't quite connect to it. Talked to the artist via instagram and he's truly a kind soul. (& This cover is insane. One of the best I've seen in a while). It's worth checking this out, even if it doesn't fully resonate with you. The quality and the effort is there.
Some great interludes (I'm Blessed & The Finale especially), but I wasn't a fan of any songs to be honest
After years of being judgy towards anyone who said they loved blonde by Frank Ocean and anyone who thought it was the best album ever: Yeah it is a good album, I'll admit it. I've always thought he was very overrated but this is a great album. Nothing sticks with me right now, but it does make me feel a lot.
I appreciate about this album that it's so filled with personality. You feel the spirit of Frankie Grande throughout all of this. Even if the quality is not always great and if there are some pretty "empty" tracks; I feel like Frankie has a great time on this album and is also quite open and honest sometimes about his experiences. There are some serious personal messages hidden between the empty glamour, gayness & sex. It's truly not that bad.
Yeah it does make me feel like I'm an American but I am not and I am not so sure I want to feel like an american at this moment.
It's not as bad as you all say though, there are some pretty cringey moments but it's really quite a fine album overall.
