Great album, JID rapping is peak. That Bob the Builder line is funny af 😂. No skips
After a fairly bad start of the year, Drake making a comeback feels nice with this song.
Lotta people are kinda hating on this and calling it mid. The first disc did have a few tracks which were pretty mid, but songs like Clap, Slide and Butterflies were still solid. The 2nd disc was really good though, nice to see some familiar collaborators like Future, Savage and Thug. Overall, not a bad way to close the summer out. Definitely gave some vintage trap vibes, and overall, one of the better albums for mainstream hip hop this year compared to stuff like Jackboys 2 and Wham.
Freddie Gibbs has been prominent figure of hip hop in the 2020s, and both parts of Alfredo show why. None of the features miss on this album, and JID on a Freddie Gibbs track is like a match made in heaven. No skips, great rapping, and a production masterclass from the Alchemist. I think 2025 hip-hop is finally back on track due to some of the releases this, so thank you Freddie.
We have seen several big artists this year release mid projects, and it kinda feels like we’ve seen them fall off. Not for Tyler, however. Several great vocal performances, along with great rapping. This album got me dancing, with so many great summertime vibe songs. No skips on this for sure. Arguably top 5 rap album this year.
A few solid tracks. Like how Travis is not afraid to throw shots back at Pusha T. However, 21 Savage feature was so disappointing, since it seemed like it was a great beat for him to flow over. Glorilla feature sucked. In the end, kinda mid album, and some disappointing tracks.
First Eminem, Then Kanye, Now Wayne?! Probably his worst album or second worst of all time.
The Weeknd’s last project, and looks like he ended it with a bang. Several great vocal performances we are given from him on songs like “Without a Warning” and “Opening Nights”. He also made sure to include some solid features from artists like Future and Lana Del Ray. Solid project.
