Surprised that the main track is RUNNING WILD (although it's pretty good) but the b-sides FALLING and HEART ON THE WINDOW are superior to the main track for sure.
I enjoyed the vocals on FALLING, this is Jin at his best hitting the high notes and showing poignant vulnerability. Another highlight is the duet with Wendy, very good match of voices there and I enjoyed the playfulness of the song.
Another Level sounds like an outlier but it's something the gaming world would understand ... read more
I mean if the aim is to not make sense, at least be like I Am The Walrus Radio Ga Ga and Champagne Supernova.
Heard his rock style wails in the Run BTS song and found it awesome. Was hoping he'd really embrace that side of him but this is a good start. Good bright vocals.
Impressed with the rapping and some of the vocals but the material they gave these young talents is shockingly subpar.
I love Standing Next To You and I certainly think 3D is a great dance tune. Jungkook has a great falsetto and is a very good dancer too. But the rest of the album is a let-down. Nothing ground-breaking or memorable.
The comparison to MJ is a bit of a reach at this point. Michael wrote or co-wrote his greatest hits. Jungkook hasn't managed to do that yet. There is also not one bad song or "filler" songs in the massively successful Thriller album.
Nooooo.
What were they thinking.
They muted the songs, removed the edge, removed the fire. U2 and elevator music don't go hand in hand. I am sorely disappointed that they did this!
Love her vocals and her lyrics are some of her most personal yet. By the end of the album though, I had this feeling that many of the tracks sound the same.
He's a graceful dancer based on what I saw in the Jimmy Fallon performance but there is not one memorable song in this debut album.
Many of the songs are also horribly auto-tuned. I can dance to Like Crazy for a day or two but that's about it, I won't be adding it or any of the tracks in FACE to my playlist. And what is the theme that binds all the tracks together? The album doesn't have that character or personality that makes you remember the artist.
Overall, a mediocre album for a debut. ... read more
Stunned.
Wow.
Will update review later as I want to listen to it a couple more times.
It's haunting, gorgeous and perfect for The Great Gatsby and then got derailed by one line - "All that face makes me wanna party". That's one of the most awkward lyrics I've heard.
One of the best albums I've listened to.

Whoa I heard Dis-ease for the first time yesterday walking by someone's car. Had to ask the driver who sang it and found out it's BTS!
The last 90 seconds of the song is so cool and strangely addictive - enough for me to want to find out more about these guys. I've listened to the album, their voices are good, especially one but I don't know which vocalist.
Apart from Dynamite and Telepathy, the rest of the tracks are bland. But DIs-ease is dope.
