While not as consistent as their first album, I feel like the extremely high highs of this album far outweigh the few songs that could be considered subpar(for their standards)
I think the sheer volatility of the album not being as "8/10 throughout" as Is This It makes it slightly better for me, but not by much
One of my favourite albums of all time, with no real misses, and no standouts either. While some of their later albums have songs I'd consider wildly better than others, in this particular one, I think just about every song could be considered an 8/10 at least. Adding to that the fact that it's their debut album and how influential it was, it makes the sum greater than the parts, and when the parts are already that good, you get that.
