This album is simply a good listen, its nice on the ears and is straight up relaxing. Its at its best when listened to in full, where each song blends together into one long experience that is such a nice vibe. However, that ends up being it's one major flaw. Each song never really stands out on it's own and it can be where 3 songs go by and I never realize a song ended and a new one started. But that is far from making the album any worse, it just makes it where each song is ... read more
While I still love Chicago, this album was kind of weak. Sure it has good hits on it like 'Another Rainy Day In New York City' and 'If You Leave Me Now' but if you ask me to name anything else of this album I'd be pretty hard pressed. "Heavy Weather" is such a fun listen. From the energetic jazz standard of "Birdland" to the more somber and reflective style of "A Remark You Made" this album just slaps. It started with me loving Maynard Ferguson's "Birdland" and looking into the original song, I discovered this album but really didn't pay attention to it. It wasn't until I found this vinyl at an estate sale and picked it up did I actually listen to this album and man was ... read more
