It pains me to put this as low as I am, because I, from the bottom of my heart, respect the artistic ideas at play here.
It took 13 songs out of 14 to put me in the right headspace to get absolutely RUN OVER with "A Tribute to Gene Ray", a complete 180 from otherwise cripplingly maximalist audioterrorism into a song worth every moment.
There is heart here. This is an artist who cares deeply for the form they practice. This is something that I have a very deep respect for.

It lacks the same sort of motion as prior works from Golemm's discography, but it's undeniably still Golemm. It's still there. It's still pretty good. The same heights? No. But there's something to hear here, and I like it.
An absolute standout. Östentaf's capable of simultaneously keeping the vibe uptempo and playful, and serious enough to be slid into a club banger rotation at any given moment. I don't think there's a single song here that drops the ball for a moment. 1-2-3-4.
