I mean it’s not terrible but definitely mid for Tiller standards. Luh Tyler didn’t add anything of value and that beat switch was unnecessary and bland.
Bryson Tiller definitely shines more as a rnb artist than a rapper but this album still has a pretty decent rapping performance from him. Can’t say the same about these God-awful features though lmao. The album would’ve been better without pretty much all of them.
Why is this song such a grower? The lyrics are a bit questionable but the melodies and production are so good. I might be biased because I like toxic r&b like this for a late night vibe but I really think people should give this a second chance. I didn’t like the song that much at first either
Although it was definitely a step down from trap-soul, this is still a fairly underrated album.
I think the biggest issue with this album was how long it was without any features and how inconsistent it became at times. Mind you, he was on stage with H.E.R., Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott and he even collabed with Future and Thug on the lead singles yet none of artists made the album. Shenseea needs to stick to her roots and do what she’s actually good at. Making mediocre pop songs and infusing them with reggae just fucks up the genre as a whole.
Drake is one of those artists where you have to add 10-15 points to the user score because holy shit these review bombers are corny
