If in Lotusflow3r the common thread is the guitar solos in several of the cuts, in Mplsound the return of the LinnDrum and the trademark funk rhythms stand out. An entertaining album and better than its lukewarm reception led me to expect.

A comeback that leaves me wanting more after 5 years of waiting, especially when almost half of these just over 30 minutes of music could be described as new age improvisations. Even so, the fascination I feel for Bat for Lashes remains intact and at least the title track and “At Your Feet” can be listed among the best of her career. 70 is a correct score to me.
