I feel like I’ve heard this album 18 times already this year.
I say this as a fan. This sucked.
EDIT: Okay, I bumped up the score a tiny bit on my second listen. I still think this is super clunky and not very compelling. There’s nothing in here I’d listen to again.
I didn’t like these dweebs during their heyday, and now they’ve dragged my man, Hozier into their dweebiness. I’m sick over it.
Probably could have taken off a song or two and tightened this up, but it’s good!
Let me start by saying U2 is my favorite band. And after about 25 years of being a fan, I’ve become accustomed to disliking their new music. So unsurprisingly, I can’t say I like this project musically. But I appreciate and acknowledge the message, in spite of some personal cynicism that I will get into.

Needs a stronger female vocalist and a better engineer, but I love that Peter Gabriel shit.
Honestly, I think the music is pretty cool, but her voice is so annoying. I tried to get over it, but I couldn’t.
