probably my top pick for "best album you have never heard of," and it's true, people really have never heard of this album. i think that's a travesty, because some of my favourite 2010s rock is on this album, great vocals, great instrumentation, it's pure emotion and passion to me
stupdenous album kinda held back by self- and -ish, but thematically they tie it all together so i can't be too harsh
great start for will, for his first album ever, it's a pretty fucking good one
will's ever evolving musical style never fails to impress no matter how many inversions it goes through, the shift to a softer sort of music in will's career is evident here and we're all the better for it, his instrumental and rhythmic talent is so stellar that even the songs that explicitly don't mean anything at all (looking at you blackbox) are amazing to listen to, how anyone could be disappointed with this album is beyond me
aoty 2022 without a doubt, what a haunting yet soulful masterpiece. will wood may be on hiatus after this, but if he never made another piece of music again, this would be an awe-inspiring, glorious finale to a talented, beautiful career. i hope we hear more from the mastermind himself, even if this album is very hard to top, i'd love to hear him try.
