LONG REVIEW INCOMING
first two tracks (the ones that got music videos) were surprisingly solid, especially whippin that wave. the intro actually had me vibing, even if max b's part on the hook is a bit iffy. the second it got to bulletproof maybach i got scared for how the vocals were going to waste the beats.
ever since you left me has an incredibly recognizable sample (ironically i can't name it off the top of my head) but this song is awful. "i aint come this far just to ... read more
extremely inconsistent. some of the mixing on this album is just unacceptable like what the hell but the highs are HIGH
i first listened to brat when it released and didn't enjoy it. recently, i'd been listening to von dutch a bunch, so i figured i'd give the album a fresh relisten. so much of it to me feels like cool ideas that weren't executed well, or uninteresting songs that feel like filler. the marketing campaign and hype around this album with "brat summer" feels like it made much more of an impact than the album itself. production is mostly incredible though.
not the worst thing ever, but lord is it boring. we ever gonna get all those songs he apparently deleted?
i need the few people who are actually defending the definition of AI slop to look in a mirror and ask themselves why they are so desperate to be different
these mfs are production gods. only negatives are track 2 feeling like filler, jarring/drawn out transitions, and minus 2 points for saying fuck fl studio thats my dawg
i can't believe i actually listened to this entire fucking thing and that parts of it are really good
great production, vocals aren't quite there yet but i can believe they'll make great stuff in the future
theres 2 solid songs on here and i also wouldve liked swag runna if i didnt hear someone getting offkey autotuned backshots the entire time
it was gonna get a 100 until i got jumpscared by the bonus track
edit: 0->1 because its better than high anxiety
