One of the greatest albums of our century. Purely raw capturing an essence of love and loss rarely told in an RnB style like this. Coming from an artist we know so little about brushes the project with a tone of a universality. If this is the last LP Frank Ocean puts out, what a beautiful goodbye.
It's one of those albums you can absolutely lose yourself in. With each track distinctly unique from the other and yet all perfectly cohesive.
Talking Heads deliver a funky and eccentric album, with 8 tracks (some running a little long) but, never taking itself too seriously.
Noah Kahan takes another swing at that growing up in a small town feeling, getting even more personal in his lyrics and alternative in his production. He delves a lot deeper and a lot darker into his past and present, feeling more nostalgic and yet, simultaneously, grounded. His focus is on friends and family which is so refreshing to see but can't say the length didn't make me a little restless.
