This is THE summer album, the cover captures the essence of the record so perfectly. Breezy, effortless, fun dance pop that cannot be replicated. Kylie stepped into the millennium and said she's gonna make album of the century, and that's what this is.
Another disco instalment for Miss Ware with more lively instrumentation and lush arrangements. The high energy Sauna and Mr. Valentine are highlights for me. The ballads are also so wonderfully done, though not as good as WYP, it still flows insanely well in this album. In love with this album.
Oh Annie, please make another chamber pop album
Her most personal album™, still is and forever will be her best album.
When people say that Kylie was at her sexiest in the Light Years era with the gold hot pants, they obviously have not listened to this masterpiece and watched her Where is the Feeling MV with the Dolphin Mix.
This album is a sleek and cool collection of deep house, trip hop and dance-pop. We see Kylie showcase her vocals in full force with Surrender, Automatic Love and Dangerous Game. Her career-defining trip-hop track, Confide in Me, showed the world that she was capable of making art and not ... read more
This album means a lot to me. It carried me through all the hardships in college and will always hold a special place in my heart. I relate to a lot of the lyrics here like the generational trauma, my relationship with my mother and just holding on through tough times. Consider this girl, held.
I really enjoyed Endless Summer Vacation (minus Flowers ofc) and Plastic Hearts. So I had high hopes for this new album and my girl did not disappoint. I absolutely love this, Miley's most mature and cohesive body of work yet.
Very enjoyable project from Goldie. The 70s rock vibe throughout the album coupled with her amazing vocals is just so perfect to me. I'm in love with Snake Eyes and Favourite Fear.
My introduction to St. Vincent. Hooked on the 70s glam and psychedelic rock tracks here. Feels right out of that era to the point where I thought this was a 70s record at first. Decided to deep dive into her discography for similar stuff and was surprised to find such a diverse back catalogue.
I'm surprised that the second half of the album isn't getting enough love as the first. It's equally as brilliant.
What a rush!! An amazing dance-pop album starting off the year. Damn is giving Purrr by Slayyyter and is such a great opener. I also really enjoyed the high octane tracks like Wet & Wild and Switch. Overall a great debut effort by Rose Gray. Excited to hear more from her.
Deliciously sexy 90s dance and trip-hop with FKA twigs' twang of glitch and R&B. Kate Bush, Madonna and Bjork influences can be heard on tracks like Girl Feels Good, Room of Fools and Keep It, Hold It, but twigs makes it feel authentic and inspired, and not derivative of that era of music. And I don't really agree with the discourse of North West's feature as out of place, I think it brings the innocence and sense of freedom that twigs wants to invoke in this record, among ... read more
Another amazing album from singer-songwriter Mitski. Her gripping lyrics paired with the lush production leaves me in awe every time. I am so so excited for her next project.
