mildly disappointed, i expected it to go further, the mix isnt fully all there, kamasi's harmonics im generally a huge fan of admittedly knowing very little about jazz and music theory but this just didnt seem to align, it feels like a lot of these concepts seemed to flourish only in its state of genesis but on wax, it demands so much more, which does seem to be the problem i face with kamasi and a lot of his contemporaries (terrace, thundercat etc.) the sonics feel like its missing that one ... read more
