12 Days of Holiday Singles [2025] - Day 12
Compared to other covers of "Let It Snow!..." it does not stray away much from other classic covers of this song, most notably Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. Schlatt's vocals in this song is surprisingly nice and works well with the traditional pop style of music. With the instrumentals on this song, while nothing special, pairs well with Schlatt's vocals. You honestly cannot go wrong with this cover, it works nicely for the ... read more
12 Days of Holiday Singles [2025] - Day 11
Just like any other Meghan Trainor song, very bland and either boring or annoying (often times both). Despite it being an original Christmas song, it more so plays out like any other modern generic pop song. It does not help that the vocals in the chorus is obnoxious. This Christmas song just comes into one ear and out the other, like most of Trainor's discography.
12 Days of Holiday Singles [2025] - Day 10
A very catchy Christmas song from Elton John. An all around good festive song from Elton's vocals to the instrumentals to make a great final product.
12 Days of Holiday Singles [2025] - Day 9
Honestly, Danny makes some really good points. Outside of that, this song is ironically enjoyable with its unorthodox but clever lyrics and its rather simple beats. For a comedy rap Christmas song, this is honestly solid for what it is.
12 Days of Holiday Singles [2025] - Day 8
A rather mellow song for Christmas. There is nothing much to mention about the song since it is a simple fitted Christmas carol.
12 Days of Holiday Singles [2025] - Day 7
This song has that generic early 2010s electropop beats alongside an included rap feature with a Christmas flare to it. Even though the holiday touch still does not elevate the blandness in this song. I do find TobyMac's feature to be the weakest part(s) of the song, especially the chorus with how repetitive and annoying he sounds. Even then, Adam does not do a whole lot to make the song more appealing especially for Christmas time.
12 Days of Holiday Singles [2025] - Day 6
Heavily reminds me of "All I Want for Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey. Which is both a good and bad thing, mostly bad, to me personally. While I do like the overall instrumentation in this track, especially the brief saxophone solo before the bridge. But I do find the chorus to be bit overwhelming in its instrumentation alongside Kelly's high notes, which is a similar issue I have with Mariah's Christmas song, but less obnoxious. ... read more
12 Days of Holiday Singles [2025] - Day 5
A rather catchy Christmas song about what the title suggests. I also do think the children singing after the interlude towards the end is a nice touch to this song.
12 Days of Holiday Singles [2025] - Day 4
Despite this being a novelty song, I find this song to be extremely annoying. It also does not help that this song feels like a drag, despite its relatively short run time. The trumpet solos on this song is a bit over the top and further adds to the psychological drag that this song has.
12 Days of Holiday Singles [2025] - Day 3
This holiday song from Train is fine. Shake Up Christmas overall has nice production behind it, but my biggest gripe is Pat Monahan's vocals, which I find it very irritating in this song. This is especially noticeable in the chorus where the repetitiveness paired with his vocals (as well as the backing vocals) makes the song somewhat off-putting when paired with the instrumentation.
12 Days of Holiday Singles [2025] - Day 2
A rather simple and catchy Christmas classic from the 1940s. Just a cheery song for the holidays.
12 Days of Holiday Singles [2025] - Day 1
In terms of modern original Christmas songs, it is honestly very solid. The vocal performance for this song is done really well, and paired with the nicely made instrumentation results in a nice catchy holiday song.
Poloolpp showcases his musical talent to the fullest extent.
12 Days of Holiday Singles [2024] - Day 12 (Finale)
Man, this Christmas song is so good. The production is so silky smooth and with Donny's vocals, it becomes a match made in heaven. With Donny's vocals in particular being stellar in this song. The trumpets really stand out in the song itself as well. There is not much to say, this is just a great track for the holidays.
[Merry Christmas Everyone!]
12 Days of Holiday Singles [2024] - Day 11
'Frosty the Snowman' is Christmas classic with its simple tunes and lyrics. With Gene Autry being the first vocalist to record the song which I think he did a rather decent job on covering. Although, I must say that his vocal performance is a bit emotionless in the song, most notably when he says "Stop!" where there is no emphasis on the tone. Especially when compared to other covers of the song. Regardless, this is still a holiday ... read more
12 Days of Holiday Singles [2024] - Day 10
In all honestly, I never really liked 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' ever since I first heard it. Anyways, for the song itself, my main issue I have with it is that I find Mariah's vocals to be obnoxious when paired with the blunt and repetitive instrumentation which ultimately makes the final product overwhelming for me. Which is understandable why people do not like this song with how overplayed it is, but I am not putting overplay ... read more
12 Days of Holiday Singles [2024] - Day 9
A rather pleasant, holiday surprise from Coldplay. The song itself is calm and soothing, with Chris's voice fitting very well with this style of music. Plus, the production itself is done well and the song does not drag on for too long. Outside of that, there is nothing really special or outstanding with this song, but it is a nice overall.
12 Days of Holiday Singles [2024] - Day 8
Yeah, this sound is rather catchy to listen to. The vocals between Ariana and Kelly go hand in hand and works really well to create the final product, and also the overall production is decent. The one thing I personally have some distaste with this song is that it sounds too similar to any other modern pop holiday song. But overall, I relatively liked this song.
12 Days of Holiday Singles [2024] - Day 7
I often hear this song the radio frequently. Anyways, this song is a joy to listen to with its rather simple and catchy rhythm. Well produced for its time and is overall enjoyable.
12 Days of Holiday Singles [2024] - Day 6
Hmm, I am not sure how I feel about this song. I honestly find this song very bizarre, it does not really sound like it would a song for Christmas it more so sounds more like a euro-dance song to me. While it still has aspects of the Christmas in the song like the bells and within the lyrics. I do not hate this song, nor do I like it for what it is. It is somewhat catchy, it is technically dance music so this can make sense in a holiday party. Would I ... read more
