DISCOGRAPHY DIVE - DAVID BOWIE
"Self-Titled" (1967)
Well.. I believe I should do a quick introduction. I'm virtualinsanity, although you should call me Rick, and you probably don't know me. I haven't been on this site for long.
This review right here marks the start of my chronological journey through the catalog of David Bowie, an artist I respect based on the songs I have heard and that certainly has had a massive influence on music.
This is the review for..Well, you already know ... read more
Please do.
I don't really know why I listened to this instead of anything else, probably just to see the fall off before The Fall Off. This is a really boring project and only a few moments stand out (mostly negatively):
Ready '24 features Cam'ron, which is nice to see, with a flow that doesn't fit the beat at all. Unfortunate to see him do that.
Huntin' Wabbits highlights the hypocrisy of Cole, who claims he's humble and all that but raps about fucking bitches and bringing them to the CVS. ... read more
Deserves this 100 and much more. A perfect soundtrack to a perfect game.
Got this recommended to me, pretty good country although his voice isn't exactly my cup of tea.
A Gallagher + Squire = good britpop. That's the recipe. It seems the cook messed it up and threw too much in it, overproducing the whole thing, but it's edible, yeah?
On more musical terms, this is pretty good. Despite the aforementioned issue, it manages to be catchy and energetic. "Make It Up As You Go Along" in particular is nice.

Noise rock, harsh noise - Genres that I don't usually engage with but that I like a lot here. Thank you Stomach Book, very cool.
Room temperature. It's warm in its instrumentation, but cold in its themes. Just an album I wanna give a big hug to.
A solid release from the two, I expected nothing much after hearing the title-track demo but this pleasantly surprised me. Some of Kanye's best recent work is on this.
In particular, highlights are: Do It, Burn (sounds like old Kanye rapping over new Kanye production), Carnival (feat. Carti, unfortunately the Iron Man sample isn't cleared but still goes hard - Nice nod to MBDTF), Good (Don't Die), Problematic (God tier prod. with some nice lyricism. Probably the best)
The rest is either ... read more
