This is a good album. It’s better than baby one more time but it’s not miles better. It’s a fun listen & the singles are great. The ballads are such a snooze compared to her later work, i turn to you is the only memorable one. A great Spanish debut. Pero me acuredo de ti is probably my favorite single by her ever. I prefer this over self titled because her latin tongue makes come on over and genie in a bottle sound even better. What a girl wants & my reflection are the only tracks I prefer in English my only wish is that we got more original Spanish up beat songs.

The most perfect album ever. This isn’t just a good girl gone bad album it’s christina going from xtina the teeny bopper to xtina the artist. The contrast between this and self titled is beyond crazy. Christina goes from using child friendly words to straight up saying “I’m not a virgin, sorry I’m not a slut” & more this “new xtina” felt like the real xtina while debutina felt like one of many. The album is an amazing dance album. I feared at first it was gonna sound like one long ass song but the 3rd track killed that fear thankfully! I’m not an expert on dance music but if i had heard this album with no information on it i’d think it was a 2003 album so it does sound dated in that sense but we love the dated sound so who cares! I could care less for the slow songs but the up beat songs outweigh them.
