What a pleasant surprise when scrolling through my Discover Weekly this week. Influences and genres vary all over this project. I'm getting hints of funk, soul, psychedelic, prog rock, pop, and even UK Jazz.

Unbelievable to think that Allan Rayman is still peaking in terms of creativity, sound structure, and vocal performances. The atmosphere Allan is airy, nostalgic, and warm. Influences vary all around this project, but ultimately it ends up with Allan's signature sound, while many songs are reminiscence of 90s alt-rock, almost dream-popish backgrounds. Strong entry in Allan's already excellent discography; I would consider this his best.
Recently discovered Self Tape, went on his Instagram and he has only 600+ followers as of today's date of review. Unbelievable talent imo. Young Wild Free would fit perfectly with top players such as Bicep, Ross From Friends, and Four Tet. Cripsy smooth future-dance productions, mixed with vocal chops/samples makes this for an immediate standout listen. Songs like Young Wild Free, Holding On To You, and Where I Go are beasts of songs.
