the first 4 songs are solid but nothing crazy. Everything from knuckle duster and beyond rivals the highest moments of mutist beach. I adore how uncompromising they are their sound even when blending in elements of different genre's or unusual rythms. Really astounding stuff honestly.
I do like the opening and the groove finally caught me in the second half but this is kind of dissapointing? I’m all for surprises but why would you tease some sort of heavy rage or grunge thing just to unceremoniously beat switch into one of your least interesting rap beats in years. Still good but an odd choice

The instrumentals are all very dreamy and the mixing is very clear though I think a bit more distortion would work very well on some of these. The vocals are generally very good and fitting but I think on most of the first half they sound very thin and could absolutely be made more prominent or have additional background vocals to fill in empty space. I don’t think he’s really saying anything much at all here lyrically and his flow doesn’t change much throughout the record however for the most part the beats are very interesting and his vocals are a listenable background layer. Certainly enough so to keep me engaged the entire time. Definitely the weakest project I’ve heard from jpeg but still a solid release regardless.
