Very much a mixed bag of tracks, some songs have great production whilst others are very bland and boring production and vocals, the writing also isn't the strongest throughout the LP either. "Dopamine" is a cool song tho
"CRANK" was one of the fav singles of last year, just an incredible absolute banger, fire production, "He wanna fuck Slayyyter, Richard, we should link later" goes so hard, perfect track. So i was very much anticipating this, and while no song in my opinion is better than "CRANK" there are def a few that do come close, "BEAT UP CHANEL$" to "CRANK" is like a perfect 4 track run, and generally this album is just banger after banger. Genuinely what's the point of listening to a Kanye West album on release day in the big 2026, sure there's good ideas and even songs on here but the whole album is unfinished and sloppily made especially in the latter third. Even outside that section Kanye's performances throughout so many songs is lackluster to say the least, as if he's a half asleep and just doesn't even have the energy or drive anymore, I don't even know how to explain really, or maybe it's ... read more
Generally love this reissue, and enjoy all the new tracks over the original counterparts except i do very much miss "Perfect Stranger" and i dont think "The Dare" is as good even if it is an amazing track in its own right.
Enjoyed this album when it came out but it has GROWN on me a lot, definetly become one of my fav chs albums really, love the direction and risk this album takes, some of the longer songs which I didn't love prior I adore, all works so well for me and has slowly become one of if not my fav album of the year
Already loved CSH and Twin Fantasy has been my fav album for a while but i hadn't super loved much of their backlog outside of Teens of Denial, but recently been getting into and loving a lot of their older shit, especially this "EP". Hey, Space Cadet is close to being their best song, lots of Post-Rock influence on here and i think they do it really well, great lyrics, great vocals, really improved mixing whilst still keeping it to their lo-fi sound. Pacing is great, flows super ... read more
So much energy here, 45min of banger after banger, and the songs that aren't going for that are also fantastic, the features here are also great, so much character, personality, and fun, loved this so much.
I aint even on quadinckles like that but still his last album very much got me interested in what he would do in the future, and i can very much say that my expectations were met and surpased, what an incredible album, havent fully gone into it lyrically but even solely on a production and audiotory experience its incredible, the tracks flow super well, never gets repetative over its grand 80min runtime, not a dud on here and from what ive gotten so far lyrically its really good. AOTY man, ... read more
Great songs in here, as well as some weak ones as well. Main issue here is the repetitive and unchanging production through the record, some songs staring to blend together (and not in a good way). Really wish it was more adventurous with it and went in more interesting directions. That is to say this is a good pop album overall and much better than what you'd expect from a tik tok star, still not great but a solid debut.
Edit: Its grown on me a bit, still dont love it but enjoy it more ... read more
Didnt check out any of the singles for this one, and havent actively listened to any of Miley Cyrus' music prior to this but i hadnt of heard the best things about most of it but this very much impressed me. An album that goes for grand scale but very much earns it, with lots of interludes that are really well done and individually satisfying. The production throughout this album is really great, goes in unexpected directions at points and its highlight of this project. Not to discount ... read more
Swans returns! Started to really listen to a lot of Swans a couple months ago and really got into them especially To Be Kind, and while i havent found anything that has scratched that same itch from them ive still loved lot of their other stuff especially the other two albums from the 2010s trilogy. So that is to say i was pretty excited for this new album of theirs and after listening to it once it was great, not mindblowing unfortunately but still great.
Unlike some of their past releases ... read more
More mixed on this then here last LP, not sure how i feel about the features on some of the songs, and i might feel that some of the songs are a bit over extented but in saying all that i still do love it as a whole and its still another fantastic inclusion in Natalia Lafourcade's ever growing consistant discography, and i do see room for it to grow on me.
"Hey there Dog-man
Woof, woof, woof, woof, woof,
woof, woof
Now, i drink from your bowl
Ruff, ruff, ruff, ruff, ruff, ruff,
ruff"
Yeah this is a masterpeice
Super different stylisticly from their last album, and i had doubts it might work but overall i loved this and its probably my favourite album of the year thus far. Good shit
Loved the song with Danny Brown, didnt really love anything else though, sorry.
