i’m sorry but this is so fucking boring, i don’t understand how this is considered their best album
currently signing in to rehab with a kilo hidden in my luggage, this song is what inspired me
Seems like a lot of left overs from the last tape but still has enjoyable moments throughout. Not much else to say, solid beat tape. Just a little bit of a downgrade from the previous tape but worth a listen.
Solid beat tape with brief vocals and vocal samples placed throughout, can get a bit repetitive towards the end. Side One is easily the best and Hello's chipmunk soul sounding sample flip is one of my favorite moments on the entire album. Overall an enjoyable listen especially if you are a big LUM fan or fan of instrumental hip hop in general and are looking for something a bit different.
Only point of listening this is if you wanna do a full discography dive for LUM and see how much he's grown. Other than that, skip this.
This has slowly turned into one of my favorite albums of all time. The horns and piano on this project sound so incredible and the way he pitches down and reverbs his vocals. It's just such a unique album and way ahead of it's time. If Lookin 4 Tha Suckin wasn't on this album I think it would be perfect. Still a 9.5/10.
So glad I listened to this after that god awful Ice Spice album, really brought me back to life. Also, can we talk about how impressive this 3 album run has been?
Fuck you Rolling Stone (I know they reviewed this 34 years ago but they still gave the new Ice Spice album a higher score than they gave this)
Another solid installation in what has become one of the most consistent discographies in hip-hop. Solidifying Zel as one of the industry’s best acts, if he wasn’t already.
