I never understood why people raved about this album, to me it’s very meh. The Light Is Coming is one of Ariana’s worst songs and is utterly terrible, with Nicki’s verse being the only saving grace. A lot of good vocals on this album, but the production and lyrics do not match the quality of the singing.

This album, along with most of her discography, did not age well. I really enjoyed it when it first came out but it did not hold up over time. I haven’t revisited this album in a long time and don’t plan on it in the future. In My Head is one of her best songs but overall this album is pretty forgettable.

This album is just very mid. There’s no great songs but there are a few good ones like Liar, Change Your Mind, and Slumber Party. I don’t really like her vocals on this album, specifically when she does the baby voice, but she sounds good when she embraces her natural lower register like on the verses of Liar. The deluxe added a few more decent songs but overall this album isn’t remarkable in any way.

Pretty cohesive and has one of her best songs (Overprotected) but I don’t find myself coming back to this album as much as some of her others. It’s an improvement from her first 2 albums, but still the best is yet to come.

This album has a lot of solid songs and her voice is noticeably stronger than it was on her earlier albums. Russian Roulette is one of her best ballads, best vocal performances and best written songs, and even though it wasn’t written by her it still feels very personal to her knowing what she endured during this time. Overall this album is strong and conveys her mindset during this difficult period in her life.

Amazing singles and many good album tracks, Good Girl Gone Bad is cohesive and one of Rihanna’s best albums. A few iffy songs like Lemme Get That and Question Existing, but overall I thoroughly enjoy this album and the singles are some of the best from that era.

Eternal Sunshine is pretty cohesive and has a lot of great songs, but also quite a few mid-decent songs. It grew on me a lot as I listened to it (I didn’t like TBIM at first but now it’s one of my favorites) but I don’t find myself going back to it as much recently. The production is very dated and generic, the vocals aren’t even hers 50% of the time, the lyrics are bad, and the album as a whole seems very rushed which I think Will.i.am executive producing the album is to blame for this.
