Some pretty great stuff from Hayley. I appreciate that it really feels like she writes about what she wants to write about. It makes perfect sense to be a full album but I do actually find the “build your album” thing interesting. I hope another artist tries that again in the future. I recommend this as a listen to anyone. There isn’t any songs that are bad on here. There are a few songs I would call a little weaker but it’s 19 songs so that’s bound to happen.
WSG drops another pretty consistent new album. Nothing groundbreaking, but a lot of good but short songs to listen to until he probably drops another in the next few months. Good features per usual. A lot of short songs on here which is fine, however I do usually prefer songs over 2 minutes. I think this is about equal to the second in the series overall. I would like to see him try something new or different next time to shake things up.
Really not feeling this. I feel like the direction was completely missed with this. Just random rnb, Youngboy sounding songs then regular offset songs just tossed together to create this. He sounds bored on most of these songs. I wasn’t expecting a without warning but I was at least expecting to go a little harder than his last album. This is “fine” if you just want some background trap music i guess. There are a couple pretty good songs but nothing special.
One of the saddest releases of the year. An absolute legend releasing this dumpster. What is funny is that I actually think a few songs have some protentional if it weren't for some AWFUL production on here. Lil Wayne is either engaged (for like 2 songs) generic, or trash. The feature list isn't very good either. I also have this on vinyl unfortunately because I preordered before it released out of excitement. I really only came out of this enjoying Welcome to Tha Carter and Bells ... read more
This is the worst case scenario we could've gotten with a new Thug album. It feels like the drama is a lot bigger than the music unfortunately as well. This album is clearly rushed, unfinished, slapped with random features etc. Whoopty Doo is almost pretty awesome but Thug is not engaged on the song at all. If you look at the vinyl tracklist you can see how thrown together the finished project is. Thug on here has some of the most boring flows I have ever heard from him. Lyrically ... read more
