pleasantly surprised with this solid debut. she knows what she wants for her sound.

While the production might not be as in-depth or catchy or listenable as some of her previous work, her songwriting craft is still sharp, deeply resonant and is full of emotional impact.

Emotionally and physically punished by the end of the album.

Carly almost gears towards 70s and 80s disco in this album, and I want more of it. Carly has never sounded more carefree and fun, especially on the catchy and danceable record Shy Boy, which i had on repeat for weeks. Overall the songs in this album are what you would expect from Carly. An album that starts off strong but progressively gets repetitive and Mid towards the 2nd half of the standard album, with exceptions for Labyrinth and Sweet Nothing.

Least Favourites - Question…?, Vigilante Shit, Mastermind

Every song feels like a dream sequence. It’s ethereal.

bro really changed the game with this one. music was never the same after this album. 12 years later and all the melodies and lyrics still hits. hard.

she does leave quite a bit of impression. she's one of the current main pop stars to look out for. overall a decent pop album listen. way more cohesive than her last one, but gets kinda boring through the end

max martin x ariana grande has become one of the most iconic pop star x producer duos this generation has seen & heard. pop production here is so lush that my ears feel like they've been deep cleaned by some of the catchiest pop melodies of 2024.
