this is not an album you can take at face value especially if you do not have the cultural understanding to do so. and the same goes for all her albums post 2016

i feel a lot of the reviews on here feel either in bad faith or ignorance? regardless, i genuinely love how much beyoncé hones in on the true roots of this tumultuous, stained genre of music. a lot of songs on here are such marvellous compositions with equally gorgeous vocal performances that we take too much for granted. ... read more
