In no way do I consider "Morning Glory" better than its predecessor "Definitely Maybe." However, in every conceivable way other than its personality, it is a grander album. The Gallaghers have a bigger sound, and they have 100% grown into their own at this point. "Morning Glory" is Oasis reveling at the top; just some lads from Manchester who have gone all the way. While not as moving as their debut record, this record is almost as important for the band and ... read more
The record that takes the boundaries of what a hip-hop album can be and ends up shattering the entire genre in the process. Few albums leave an impact on you as much as "good kid, m. A. A. d city," and that isn't just because of its incredible sound. Lamar's storytelling is what truly sells the project. The inscription on the cover dubbing the album a "short film" is completely earned, as entire scenes are played out within this masterclass of musical storytelling. ... read more
It is this versus "Abbey Road," and the two stand as polar opposites of each other. While "Abbey Road" feels like a perfect formula of songs set up perfectly, "Revolver" plays out as beautiful chaos. However, as one listens to the record, they embark on a journey where the experiences and unique visions of Buckingham, Nicks, and McVie effortlessly ... read more
One of the best debut records of all time. There is a reason this album became so important to 90s British culture. "Definitely Maybe" was not just an album that catapulted Oasis into stardom, but also exported a Britpop cultural movement across the globe. Noel Gallagher's incredible songwriting is backed by his brother's powerful vocals, creating an atmosphere to down a Guinness to. This anthem for the youth perfectly matures into a timeless classic the more you ... read more
