some occasionally lacklustre moments but overall a fantastic debut record!

pretty decent song, i especially like the prechorus, the 'a-no-ther light' bit is really nice
it just feels like there's no time for this song to breathe, the momentum of the mix and the musical content is very constant which makes the track feels quite 'claustrophobic' to me
i get that the kinda rough mix is part of the aesthetic, and i think it works very well on a song like 12 to 12, but it just seems a bit overdone here

fantastic mix of absolute bangers and some real emotional moments! been loving '06 wayne rooney' for a couple months or so, and i've been meaning to check out the rest of the mixtape for a while

actually so glad to see olivia dean getting all this love now, once i heard 'dive' for the first time a few years back i knew she had big things in store
as for this album, INCREDIBLE work - if i'm not wrong, she does like a bit of bossa nova and i could really see the influence that genre had on many songs here. just some absolutely stellar tunes here

just all around great dance-infused indie rock, super summery (which is always a nice vibe, even in december lol) and some superb songwriting and production, which is seemingly all self done! pilots really picked a great duo to bring along for the clancy tour, and to sign to ARRO, although what's happening with that whole label i have no clue

unsure about a rating yet because i mainly used this to get to sleep, and i will say the soundscapes i was hearing were absolutely incredible as is to expect from dense blazing star

the vibe on this is so cool man
