everything about this album is so thrilling
first of all, thanks to @NotMtay for reminding me about this masterpiece. (adamımsın)
muse is one of my favorite bands of all time, and this album was my gateway to them. absolution takes every element that makes muse enjoyable and pushes it into it's maximum.
this album is diverse, intriguing, and so fucking epic with it's sound. there is no flaw when it comes to variety on this album. songs like "apocalypse please", "blackout" and "butterflies & hurricanes" have some amazing orchestral elements, while songs like "stockholm syndrome", "hysteria" and "the small print" are some absolute ass-kicking rock songs. there isn't a single song on this album that i would call filler, as they all have their own character. also, matt bellamy is an absolutely amazing vocalist and his voice works very well with the atmosphere of these songs.
overall, absolution deserves every single bit of praise it gets. it's one of their most iconic albums and also a really good follow-up to a record like origin of symmetry. man, 2000s muse was on another level when it came to making great music.
best songs: apocalypse please, sing for absolution, stockholm syndrome, hysteria, blackout, thoughts of a dying atheist
least favorites: falling away with you, endlessly
