This is probably the most “guy recovering from heroin addiction” sounding album you could possibly get.

This is always my first pick for listening to music in the shower. There’s a lot of atmosphere in the simple tracks. I feel like I’m becoming sober whenever I listen to this, even though I never actually used narcotics.

The vocals can be tough to get used to but trust me, if you can get yourself past them, you will melt into the music and will find yourself here.

The greatest album of all time.

This is not a typical metal album. Deftones lies in between this range of Nu-metal, alt metal and their complete own thing, it’s hard to define by genre. I feel like this album is the most emblematic of the “Deftones sound”. Washing guitars, ritualistic vocals and mid-heavy drums that skate on the surfacing of the song.
