Put aside the maelstrom surrounding this and you have a masterpiece. It’s hard to not think that some of these songs would have had a different optic if it weren’t for the furore of the last week . A true artistic expression from these two !!!
Without doubt an absolute master stroke .
All those short endings , all those soft or jagged bits in the previous chapters are served back in reverse then forwards then back again.

Nice change in pace after the heights of 1 and 2.
Calm before the storm of final chapter I’m sure
The instrumentation and the fleshing out of their signature sound into newish territory becomes so immersive.
I’m hoping that the chapters ahead of us veer into uncharted territory as this drop is perfect in it’s entirety.

A remarkable piece of work .
It sings to feelings of isolation and connection . The reoccurring theme of “girl lost to the night ‘ are beautifully connected in ‘Drunk in LA’ , ‘Black Car’ ( is that car doors slamming at the end ?) and ‘Last Ride’.
Yet the album opens with both Alex and Victoria singing about the ‘ Dark Spring ‘ that we collectively feel: the end and the beginning of forces we are all existing within .
