I started this album with high expectations, but was worried, too. I have been recommended this countless times, and this time I’ve finally folded. The main reason why this album is so beloved is because of its synthpop, the lyricism, and perhaps the most important, the balance it maintains between the two, in which neither is drowned out by the other.
