The first time I listened to this album, I had just discovered MF DOOM and his universe. I was about to fly to NYC to see my ex, and I wanted a soundtrack for that trip. I started digging for something that could match the mood and landed on this album almost by accident. I was really into jazz and '90s hip-hop, and this was the perfect match.
I think about those tracks and beats almost every day. I find them creative and nostalgic in a good way.
