One of the albums that started my journey to music and it deserves all the praise. While definitely long, a good listen should get you onboard. Haven't heard anything like it since.
I listened to this album for the first time a couple of years ago, after finding the artist randomly on Twitter. Ever since I come back once again to take a listen. I don't know how much I can describe it apart from saying that it sounds exactly like the album art.
Very strong and consistent, had a really tough time trying to figure out a ranking between the songs. Not a fan of the interlude, but otherwise some of the best shoegaze I've listened to.
As I don't usually listen to folk, the genre does get repetitive after a bit, but apart from that - this is a raw classic. While the best tracks from Kernagis are scattered all over his albums, a whole lot of this album catches the essence on why he must be remembered.
