Utoscapes

Thought of listening to this ambient album made by @MatC whilst reviewing for the part 2 of my exams tomorrow (2 subjects left). Thank God, i listened to this.

This album highlights MatC's talents as a producer with the well-produced and quite frankly, captivating landscape he has made that cause it just sucks you in right after the first few moments on the title track, which also serves as a great introduction and the best song imo. listened to this at 3am while finishing rewriting my old reviews so I will defo relisten later
great calming music, would 100% sleep to this (I will tonight). super chill, enjoyable, sounds like new beginnings (mmm very deep and wise). my favorite track would either be utoscapes or cascadiec heights. no bad tracks but my least favorite moments as of right now are that weird metal grinding sound halfway through sea turtles and the seagull sounding noise in the first few minutes of trianitarium. ... read more

MatC first caught my eye with the release of his 2025 album Parascapes, a solid ambient project, yet I did not expect his previous project to be this good. Utoscapes is beautiful. The instrumentation is incredible, and the picturesque emotions he's able to staple into your mind makes this one of the best ambient record I've heard in quite a while
