It serves more as a B(oring)-side, rather than a standalone mixtape or a follow-up to a great 2019 project with the same title.
Like most Kehlani projects in recent memory, "While We Wait 2" puts its strongest material front and center, delivering some of her best songwriting early on, though the mixtape suffers one of the steepest quality drops in her catalog during its second half.
