What an album.
This album is very unique as it encapsulates a summer like atmosphere with lyrics that suggest a dark time/ break up.
Overall really great and very underrated artist.
Favourite: Jupiter.
This album sounds like how it feels to hang around on the beach with your friends. It quite simply is half an hour of carefree indie pop, fun times and tan lines if you will. This feels very inspired by the indietronica sound of the late 2000s, early 2010s (e.g. Foster The People, Grouplove...) but still feeling similar to many of their contemporary genremates. The person who told me to listen to AJR also told me to listen to this
I wouldve been more hesitant if i wasnt already making them listen to white light from the mouth of infinity (because you know i didnt want to listen to another AJR-coded album for about 3 days), but i was, so i decided to try it out
I must say i enjoyed this much more. Only song i actually didnt like was the 2nd track. This is very fun
This is such a good album. A friend introduced this to me and this and all of the songs on here are excellent. The only song here that isin't great is dive, but I like to think of it as just a opening track to introduce the album and not meant to be veiwed as a full song, and interlude of sorts. Seaside market might be my faviourite on here it is so underrated. Every song on here is great and fun and sequoia on the deluxe is also top tier.
Just something fun, something for the summertime.
