hope you don't mind, I'm just taking a little detour from my Mayhem deep dive with this one. To begin with, I've always liked stories about climbing disasters and I'm something of a mountaineer myself, so I just had to check this album out. Has some fantastic dynamics, and great atmosphere. It does lack a little memorability, and the acoustic guitar could be better. Still a great listen!
i assume the rest of the band took the drummer and whoever did the mixing behind the studio , and threatened their families if they don't go ball to the walls on this one , beautiful album , love that shit
holy shii. im happy the best black metal album ive listened to so far is from my beautiful little hometown boys. again a case where a lot of credits have to go to the drummer. most of the atmospheres on this album are just building upon his drumming.
