It's been a pretty long time since I last listened to Bleeding Through, it might've been just before the pandemic that I listened to This Is Love, This Is Murderous last. I liked that record but I fell off from it at some point, I just got into other stuff. Symphonic elements in metal weren't really things I was looking for anyway, I mostly stuck around for the heavy parts anyway. I must have been skimming too hard, this is the second new release I just didn't see the last week. This band has a great overall approach and sound and quite a few great records.

"Gallows" opens the project in their standard fashion, pretty nice riffs and symphonic presence. The guitar does feel a little muddled under everything though. I like the piano and the structure for the chunky breakdown passage. It's solid but standard for them. "Our Brand Is Chaos" ... read more
