Ultimately, Vice Verses finds Switchfoot in a creatively energized and committed state of mind that should please longtime fans and produce more than a few ear-catching moments.

This album really just sounds like what I'd imagine to be the "default" album. Some vague messages about depression, love and rebellion with average vocals over some boring guitar and basic bass and drums. It is actually so shocking how bland this is. This album has a special place in my heart. Brings back so many memories. As well as being nostalgic, it has some real bangers with great riffs and heavy moments. It also has some really emotional, slower tracks which work really well. I love the vocalist for Switchfoot. I have to add that some of the tracks get a bit repetitive and sound quite generic.
This album is just boring. None of these songs feel like they go anywhere. I loved Switchfoot when I was a kid but this thing has aged badly for me. Overly generic lyrics and ideas. This album gave me very little reason to stick around until the end.
Afterlife and Restless are alright.
