interrobang is an album that most Switchfoot fans never would have foreseen. The tempo variation, agile production, and unique instrumental usage make it unlike anything else that Switchfoot has churned out in their nearly twenty-five year career.
Whilst it’s rather disheartening that there isn’t that get-after-it rock style they’ve come to deliver in the past, we can forgive this as they have managed to administer something that is still authentically SWITCHFOOT, and so is of equal value.
If you happened to grow up in Christian circles and love music, a new Switchfoot release was nearly as significant to the culture as the second coming of Christ. Even today I feel as giddy as a kid on Christmas morning when a new record from Jon and the boys hits the shelves.
