Throughout Cedars, Clearlake continually find beauty in melancholy and melancholy behind beauty, while raising your hairs in reverence with occasional guitar squalls.
If I had to describe Cedars I'd definitely say it's dramatic, sometimes even overdramatic in fact. Of course, I'm not implying that whatever Pegg says on these songs is untrue or dishonest or that the lyrics are graphomaniacal. To be honest, they're often quite beautiful, I especially like the writing on The Mind Is Evil.
