Eeeeey blud it is tea time, innit? Nah it's 10 pm (at least where I live)
This album is tight, it is groovy, it is sooo well produced, it is bloody excellent.
U.K. were a progressive rock supergroup in the late 70s made up by known prog superstars Bill Bruford (Yes, King Crimson) and John Wetton (King Crimson, Asia), as well as virtuosos Allan Holdsworth (guitar) and Eddie Jobson (keyboards, electric violin) The album starts with a 3-part suite, it starts with a 7/4 groove with In the Dead ... read more

“UK” is a bit unique among prog albums due to the funk and early new wave influences. You can hear it in the synths, the rabid rhythms, and the synths. So much synths.

The new wave influence can lead to some of the songs, especially “In the Dead of Night” to have a bit of aggression to them, compounded by the funky grooves and quick changes of dynamics. That song in particular makes for a very fun and dance-able first number.

Hits unbelievably hard oh my god. What the fuck is this instrumentation how are those people real. I don't think I've ever been more impressed by a supergroup album, one of the only examples of one of them that doesn't suffer from being overblown or such, a perfectly crafted piece of late 70s prog rock with a more modern edge

I'm pretty disappointed if I'm being honest, with John Wetton and Bill Bruford being on here, I thought I would adore this, but no, I got bored quite often here ngl. Top 3: Time To Kill, Thirty Years, Presto Vivace And Reprise. DISAPPOINTED!
